Quick Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Valsad / Base Village (Nhavi)

Assemble in Valsad at a pre-designated point. If you’re driving from any other city, you can start early in the morning or reach Valsad the previous night for a fresher start. The trekkers will depart by 09:30 am from Valsad. The time taken to reach the base camp will be around 3.5 hours depending on the traffic. Enjoy scenic views along the way as you enter the hilly landscapes of the Sahyadri Mountains. Once they reach the base camp at Nhavi village by 12:30 pm, they will be allotted their respective tents which will be provided on group sharing basis. Indulge in a scrumptious lunch by 1:00 pm. The team will group up for a short trek to near the Nhavi Fort by 3:00 pm. The trek from Base camp takes an hour. The route involves a gradual ascent through scenic trails and lush green forests, making it a pleasant trek. Trekkers can take breaks along the way to admire the natural beauty of the surroundings and capture some stunning photos. Once you reach it, trekkers can soak in spiritual vibes and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the place. The trekkers will then be allowed to rest and a group orientation provided by Team Wild Voyages will be given during the high tea by 5:00 pm. If time permits, the trekkers will then walk towards the sunset point, a popular spot among photographers and nature lovers alike, making it a must-visit destination. The panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills, coupled with the vibrant hues of the setting sun, provide a perfect backdrop for capturing memorable photos. The trekkers will then head back to the Base camp which will be followed by dinner at 8:00 pm. As night falls, the trekkers will be indulged in activities like campfire, stargazing and other small games.

Day 2: Conquering the Nhavi Fort

Trekkers will wake up by 5:00 am and gear up for the next leg of adventure- the trek towards the Nhavi Fort which will begin at 5:30 am after a quick breakfast. The trek starts from the base camp and takes you to the top of the Nhavi Fort. Begin your ascent towards Nhavigad Fort. The initial trail is a moderate ascent through patches of greenery and open landscapes. The path is fairly well-marked, with gradual climbs and a few rocky patches as you go higher. Stop for a rest break halfway through the ascent. There is usually a flat area or a viewpoint along the trail where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Sahyadri Mountains and the lush valleys below. Have a quick snack and hydrate before resuming the climb. After a break, resume the trek, which now includes carved steps and narrow trails. This portion is slightly steeper but manageable, adding a bit of adventure to the trek. Arrive at the top of Nhavigad Fort. Take time to explore the fort remnants, including bastions, water tanks, and the entrance gate. Enjoy the scenic views from the summit, capturing photos and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. 1. By Road From Nashik: Nhavigad is around 60-70 km from Nashik. You can reach the base camp by driving or taking public transport. Route: Take NH60 from Nashik toward Pimpalgaon Baswant, then continue toward Chandwad. From Chandwad, take the route to Nhavi village, which is close to the base of the fort. Drive Duration: The drive from Nashik to Nhavi village takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. 2. By Train Nearest Railway Station: Nashik Road Railway Station is the closest major station, about 60-70 km from Nhavi. From Nashik Station to Nhavi Village: You can hire a cab from the station or take a bus to reach Chandwad, then another local transport to Nhavi village. 3. By Bus Direct Buses: Buses from Nashik to Chandwad are available, and you can reach Chandwad in about an hour.
