The adventure begins with a morning departure from Raipur as we drive towards the forested landscapes of Korba. Along the way, we visit the historic Pali Shiv Temple, an architectural gem that reflects the rich heritage of the Kalchuri dynasty. After lunch, we continue towards Coffee Point, our basecamp nestled amidst the forests of the Maikal Hills. In the evening, a short acclimatization walk near Doodhi Dangar village introduces participants to the terrain, local culture, and surrounding wilderness. The day concludes with a trek briefing, safety orientation, and dinner at the campsite.

Day 2: Phutaka Pahad Forest Trek – Through Sal Forests and Hidden Streams

After breakfast, we begin our trek towards Phutaka Pahad. The trail winds through dense sal forests, crossing seasonal streams and shaded woodland paths. Along the route, we visit a Korava tribal settlement and gain insights into the traditional lifestyle of the local community. As we ascend gradually, stunning views of forested valleys and rolling hills unfold before us. Further ahead, we explore natural rock formations, hidden pools, and a beautiful gorge sculpted by flowing water over centuries. After spending time in this serene setting, we return to the basecamp for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Ancient Rock Paintings & Riverside Camping

Today begins with a drive to Chati Baat village, the starting point of our trek. The trail leads through rugged terrain and mixed forests towards ancient rock shelters that house prehistoric paintings believed to be thousands of years old. These remarkable artworks offer a glimpse into the lives of early inhabitants of the region. After exploring the site and enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding hills, we descend towards a tribal village for a traditional local lunch. Later, we visit a scenic waterfall and unique river-carved rock formations before heading to our riverside campsite. Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature and the soothing sounds of flowing water.

Day 4: Ranijhariya Waterfall Trek & Return to Raipur

After an early breakfast, we drive to the trailhead of the Ranijhariya Waterfall trek. The route follows a picturesque river through dense forests, with several shallow stream crossings adding to the adventure. Surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic rock formations, Ranijhariya Waterfall is one of the hidden natural treasures of Korba. After spending time at the waterfall and capturing memorable photographs, we return to the village for a traditional farm-style lunch. The trek concludes with our drive back to Raipur, carrying unforgettable memories of Chhattisgarh's forests, waterfalls, tribal heritage, and wilderness landscapes.
